Old Sneaker Drive!

UPDATE: The used sneaker drive is over and a BIG thanks to all who participated!!! I collected two trash cans full of sneakers! I dropped off the sneakers on 3/11/09 to Nike and they were very appreciative!
Do you have any old sneakers that you would like to recycle? Well Nike has a Reuse-A-Shoe program that is fabulous - they grind up all the shoes and make athletic fields, gym floors, tennis and basketball courts and futsal fields!!! Linda Kaufman is collecting shoes from 1/17 - 2/20/09. Just drop your dusted off sneakers (no metal) in the trash can bin marked "Nike Recycle Sneaker Drive" in Linda's driveway. I will be driving the shoes up to their drop off location at Nike Factory, 18 Lightcap Road, Pottstown, PA 19464 around 2/21/09. To find out more about their program, go to their website at
